Dallas Arboretum

We had the pleasure of a field trip with the Heard Nature Photography Club to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. It was a chilly day, and while many of the plants were covered due to a freeze warning, the tulips in particular were out in all their glory. Click on any image to see it in full screen.

It was good to pull out the macro lens and explore the flowers. There was a sculpture exhibit around the grounds that gave us opportunities for pictures. The various water features were fun to play with.

Sometimes I escape the real world and explore abstract images, just to see what I can create. The image below is from a sculpture that I found fascinating.
